Custom Home Design is the primary service offered by MARK SCHMIDT,  DESIGNER.  We specialize in "one of a kind" homes, created to meet the needs and desires of our homebuyers.  Custom Home Design includes buyers of new homes, and homeowners interested in addition and remodeling of their existing residences.

The goal of Mark Schmidt, Designer is to provide for the benefits of seamless continuity between what was created during the "design process" and that which is built during the "construction process".  By providing construction services as a natural extension of the design services, the client can be confident that the same professional care and service that established the foundation for creating the design solution will continue through the course of construction. 
 

  NATURAL HOME PLANS   VIEW NATURAL HOME PLANS

MARK SCHMIDT,  DESIGNER has developed  a group of  home plans  for the discriminating custom home buyer. This series of plans are the result of custom home plans, modified to accommodate a broad variety of sites and occupants.  These plans have been prepared to use all natural materials and construction methods.  We refer to these plans as our "NATURAL HOME PLANS".

HOMES DESIGNED FOR “NATURAL LIVING” 

Mark Schmidt designs homes truly suited to the northwest environment.   Materials native to the Northwest, timbers, stone, sidings and textures are selected to create homes that are naturally in harmony with their site.  Broad porches, large roof overhangs and extensive use of glass bring the natural world into the home, while encouraging and enabling occupants to experience the natural elements of their home and site.
